An interview-led awareness video produced for the Safer Phosphates Foundation, featuring Irish farmer Kevin Nolan discussing soil health and its impact on the food chain.


OBJECTIVE

  • To educate the public on how heavy metal contamination in soil affects human health and promote safer phosphate fertiliser use, with a clear CTA to visit the foundation’s website.

We partnered with the Safer Phosphates Foundation to bring a critical but under-communicated issue to life — showing how poor soil health can affect the entire food system. The result is a powerful, human-focused story told through the voice of an Irish farmer.


THE CHALLENGE

The issue of heavy metal contamination in soil is both invisible and complex. The foundation needed a way to explain this clearly, without fearmongering or jargon and connect it to something viewers care about — their health and food. The goal was to make soil safety personal, not just scientific.

The final video blends practical insight with personal experience — helping viewers understand why this matters and what safer farming can look like.


OUR APPROACH

We filmed on-site with Irish farmer Kevin Nolan, whose passion for responsible soil management gave the issue a credible, relatable voice. To support the interview:

  • We shot B-roll of crops, soil testing and daily farm life

  • Edited with a focus on clarity, empathy and factual delivery

  • Designed for use on social, websites and educational platforms

Delivered with subtitles and clean sound for maximum accessibility
